What makes a roof a good fit.
Direction
South is best. East and west roofs work too, with a little less output.
Shade
Big trees and taller neighbours matter. We check shade across the seasons, not just on the day we visit.
Shingles
If they need replacing in the next few years, do that first. We'll tell you at the roof check.
About the install.
Do you make holes in my roof?
Yes, the rails are fixed into the rafters. Every fixing is flashed and sealed, the same way a roofer seals a vent.
What happens when the roof needs replacing later?
The panels come off and go back on. We quote that work when we quote the install, so there is no surprise later.
Can I add a battery later?
Yes. We size the inverter with that in mind if you tell us at the roof check.
